Areas of Research

KAGMA (Korean American Graduate Medical Association) is dedicated to improving the health of the Korean American community through various research initiatives, both independent and in collaboration with partners in the academic and non-profit sectors.  These have included: 

• HPV vaccine awareness and education in the community

• Strategies for improving the cervical cancer screening & breast cancer screening rates of Korean American women

• Addressing the awareness and education of gastric cancer in the community

• Understanding the status of health in our elderly Korean American population
